News from the Pro:
- The days are getting shorter. Pro Shops now open at 6:15am and close at 1:00pm. Rangers come on duty at 11:30am. Driving ranges close early on Sundays. Ball machines are turned off at 2:30pm. The Rangers are equipped with range tokens and sell them between 1:00pm and 2:00pm, when Pro Shops are closed. Reminder: range baskets and balls are NOT to be removed from driving range areas at any time.
$32 for 18 holes until 12:00 noon, and
$18 for 9 holes and twilight
Non-resident green fees (including cart) are:
$35 for 18 holes until 12:00 noon, and
$19 for 9 holes and twilight
All fees are plus tax and continue through September 30.
- Mike’s free golf clinic next Thursday, August 26, from 9:00am to 10:00am will feature “bunker shots”. Bring your clubs of choice for playing fairway and green-side bunkers, and when signing up please include your phone number should there be a change in schedule.
News from the Greens:
- The 5-day summer maintenance closures for MV and TP have been completed for the season and the courses are looking exceptionally good. However, the greens on MV have been treated with Poa Annua and will display a brown hue for a period of time. This procedure is important in our effort to restore quality to the putting surfaces.
- Over-seeding begins in September. Current schedule is as follows:
TP and SBR close on Monday, September 13, and re-open Tuesday, October 5.
MV closes on Monday, September 20, and re-opens Tuesday, October 12.
- Upon re-opening, all courses will be “cart path only” for 3 weeks; two weeks for golfers eligible under ADA.
